Diane Boots

Diane is from the Akwesasne Mohawk Nation. She is a daughter, wife, mother of two, and Tota to six grandchildren. Family and community are central to her values and guide her lifelong commitment to service. Guided by a courageous spirit and commitment to her own healing, Diane has deepened her connection to ceremony and traditional teachings. Through these sacred spaces, she recognized another important need within her community and created the end-of-life initiative Lifting Their Minds. This project offers a safe space for conversations about the transition from the physical world to the spirit world, supporting both those who are transitioning and their families. Diane honours the sacred responsibility of witnessing and supporting these journeys.
